After being teased with warmer temperatures last week, we had to break the cabin fever for some cold winter fishing. Even though I really was itching to break in my new Helios on some Steelhead, we decided to fish a little closer to home. Maybe next week, but as long as I heard my reel zinging on the 3wt, I was still happy. The fishing was consistent all day long. Scuds were the main diet and fly of choice for the day. Over the course of the day, I tried multiple colors for the scud. Only one color seemed to do the trick. The Sow Scud color, Watery Olive produced all of the fish the past two trips. I will post the pattern by the end of the week.
