After a quick discussion yesterday with Mike, it didn't take long to convince me to float the river this Sunday. The flow was roughly 2000 cfs and the temperature was 4.7 degrees Celsius. So needless to say it was a fun ride down the river. The fish didn't move due to the temperature. I spent most of the say throwing some large bunny flies and a yellow and red whistler. Both flies had great action, but had no takers. In the top photo, Ryan got a chance to break in his 11' 7wt Helios Switch rod on the river. That might be the best rod for this river. with that setup you can cover alot of ground in just a few casts. The last two photos are when we were at the take out. I believe in two to three weeks that the river will be right where it needs to be if this weather stays the way it has been.
