Figured it was time to give the trout a rest and chase something a little bigger. Today 05-03-2012 was our first carp outing of the season. I met up with Larry after work and it turned into an exceptional evening on the lake. We manged to bring 8 fish to hand (that's really good!!!) with one being an absolute bruiser. I don't have to point out which photo it is, this one's going to be obvious. This was Larry's largest fish to date on a fly rod. This fish was fooled by one of his signature carp patterns and was landed on 4X tippet. For those of you who have never fished for carp with a fly rod, I hope this inspires you to try it out.
